| | | | STUDENT | A person studying for a New Zealand National Certificate in Travel Tourism or Hospitality at no less than Level 3. Fees and application form | ASSOCIATE (ANZITT) | A person who has obtained a nationally recognised industry qualification at no less than Level 3, or 3 and 4, and is actively employed in the industry.
The Council may, at its discretion, waive the need for an applicant to have fulfilled the specific industry educational criteria required for Membership providing it is provided with alternative proof of the applicant’s suitability and competence.
An Associate may apply for upgrade to Member after three years by providing evidence of increased responsibility or qualification. Fees and application form | MEMBER (MNZITT) | A person who has been employed in the industry in New Zealand for no less than three years immediately prior to the date of application, who has obtained a nationally recognised industry qualification at Level 4 and who is actively engaged in the industry.
The Council may, at its discretion, waive the need for an applicant to have fulfilled the specific industry educational criteria required for Membership providing it is provided with alternative proof of the applicant’s suitability and competence. Fees and application form | | AFFILIATE | A person employed in the industry who does not meet the qualification criteria at the time of application, but who commits to gaining a qualification within twelve months for advancement to Associate or Member. | FELLOW (FNZITT) | Conferred on full Members who have been Members for at least ten years and have made a significant contribution to the Institute and/or the Industry. This is determined with the agreement of the majority in attendance at an Annual General Meeting on receipt of a nomination by the Council from two Fellows or Members. | LIFE (LNZITT) | Conferred on any Member who has given outstanding service to the Institute. This is determined by a recommendation from the Council and conferred with the agreement of the majority in attendance at an Annual General Meeting. | ALLIED PARTNER | Allied Partner being an organisation, company or individual in or peripheral to the industry which is supportive of the aims and objectives of the Institute and meets criteria for Membership determined by the Council. | |
